Indielog is a profile-page builder for indie makers. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of data:

• Account information — name, email address, and profile image provided via authentication (Google OAuth / email).
• Profile content — blocks, layouts, bio, links, and images you create or upload.
• Profile analytics — anonymous daily view and link-click totals. We do not store IP addresses or raw visit events.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use data to:

• Provide and operate the Service
• Process payments for paid features
• Send transactional emails (account-related only)
• Improve product quality and debug issues

We do not sell your data to third parties and do not use it for advertising.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Clerk — authentication and session management
• Convex — database and real-time backend
• Polar — payment processing for paid plans

Each provider has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use session cookies required for authentication and a first-party anonymous browser identifier in local storage to avoid counting the same visitor more than once per day. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.

6. Data Retention

Anonymous visitor deduplication keys are retained for 7 days, daily link totals for 30 days, and daily profile totals for 90 days. Account and profile data is retained while your account is active. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us at hello@indielog.xyz.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Export your profile content

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a notice on the Service.
